

Today in Sofia took place 2008 gay parade. The slogan was - “Me and My Family” . The Pride started at 16:30 on the Bridge behind the National Palace of Culture , went through central Sofia boulevards and ended up by the Red House at Karavelov Street.
Organizators from Gay rights group “Gemini” and the whole GLBT community in Bulgaria are very THANKFULL to the Mayor of Sofia, Gen. Borisov, and the Sofia Municipality for the reached consensus and understanding.

The Police made A GREAT JOB, protecting fully - 100% , around 150 BRAVE Pride participants . Some of them wearing t-shirts with the slogan: “Beware of whom you hate, it might be someone you love.”
Bulgaria JOINED THE FAMILY of Democracy and Freedom EUROPEAN Countries!!!
Homosexuality was decriminalised in the 1960s, the age of consent was equalised in 2002.Since the 1st of January 2004 Bulgaria adopted an anti-discrimination law, protecting very well the LGBT people in the country.
